Planning workshop for the PAH (Projet d'amélioration de l'Alimentation)
From 22 to 24 October 2018, an operational planning workshop for the PAH (Projet d'amélioration de l'Alimentation, de la nutrition et de l'Hygiène en milieu familial – Project to improve nutrition and hygiene in the family environment in Burkina Faso) was held in Gaoua, Burkina Faso. More than 60 project partners from the national level (such as the Nutrition Directorate/MoH, SE-CNSA, PCR); from the regional and provincial level (such as DRAAH, DRS, DRRAH, DRENA); from NGOs and universities as well as other relevant GIZ projects participated at the workshop.
The main objective of this workshop was to jointly evaluate the experience made and activities implemented in the previous project phase and to jointly plan activities for the project period from 2018 to 2020. The official opening was made by the President of the Regional Council, Mr. DA B. Marcel who focused on the multisectoral concept of food and nutrition security.
Health Focus in consortium with IAK Agrar Consulting is implementing the Burkina Faso country package of GIZ’s Global Programme on food and nutrition security, enhanced recilience. It aims at improving the food and nutrition situation of people at risk, especially women of reproductive age and children aged 6-23 months, in the supported communities of the Southwestern region of Burkina Faso. The project works in four municipalities (Batié, Dano, Diébougou and Gaoua) in the Southwest Region.
