Health Management Training in Mosul, Iraq

In April 2021, Health Focus was awarded a service contract by the GIZ to design and deliver a capacity building program for hospital staff as well as other employees of the Ninewa Directorate of Health in Mosul, Iraq. The hospital staff are currently working at the Al-Jamhoory hospital, but are expected to move to the new relocatable health facility constructed by the GIZ. The opening of the health facility is scheduled for September 2021.

In June and July 2021, the Health Focus team delivered the first two training blocks to participants. The third and final training block will be delivered in August. The focus of the training is on familiarising participants with the management cycle; introducing them to different management tools in line with the management cycle; and developing leadership and communication skills.
