Health Focus and Khethimpilo Join Forces in Lualaba: Advancing HIV Care through Public-Private Partnerships in the DRC's Mining Hub

Health Focus recently completed a mission in Lualaba in the DRC, the heart of the mining region. During our visit to Kolwezi, we collaborated with our partner Khethimpilo to engage private companies, civil society and gouvernement in supporting the prevention, treatment, and follow-up care for individuals living with HIV through public-private partnerships.
Lualaba is the world's leading producer of cobalt, a critical component in batteries, especially with the rising demand driven by the electrification of cars in Europe. Unfortunately, the local communities do not equally benefit from this boom.
We also participated in the DRC Mining Conference in Lubumbashi.
