Evaluating the impact of performance-based financing approaches of the World Bank and USAID

Health Focus is starting an implementation evaluation of performance-based financing (PBF) approaches developed by World Bank and USAID in Liberia. Our research team, headed by leading PBF researchers from Heidelberg University, is looking at existing data from the PBF programs in Liberia and national researchers will support this data analysis with quantitative and qualitative data from all counties with PBF program activities. The results will be in by the end of this year and then discussed with national and international stakeholders as to inform further programming in strategic purchasing.
